About me

Hi, I've been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and knew from an early age that is what I wanted to do. Though I have dabbled in many types of medium from oils to pastels, acrylics to chalks, my love has always been watercolours, I just love that smooth fluid application and the build up of layers that can develop depth and texture. Most of all watercolours suit my fine detailed style of painting.

I have been painting birds and wildlife for over 30 years now, starting in the 1980s at local craft shows, then larger craft exhibitions and galleries. As life moved on, I got married and had two children, thus I added illustration work to my portfolio, writing stories and bringing them to life with illustrations was great fun for all of us! This led to many commissions illustrating other people's stories too.
